Our Story

The House of Getting It Together

Money shouldn’t feel this hard.

Credit & Cashmere exists because women were handed money tools that were never built for them — and then made to feel like the problem. We build the other thing.

The State of Things

You are not the only one carrying this.

Three numbers, each with its source named. That rule holds everywhere on this site — if we can’t point to where a figure came from, we don’t print it.

How this started

We built the thing we needed at 11 p.m.

Credit & Cashmere started on the other side of a balance that took years to clear. Not a case study. Not a client. The person building this has sat with the statement she didn’t want to open, done the math three times hoping it would come out differently, and paid the minimum because that was what the month allowed.

Every app felt like it was made for someone else — someone with a clean month, a tidy income, and no shame about any of it. Every piece of advice assumed you were starting from zero, or already had it handled, or had a few hundred spare for an advisor. None of them met her where she actually was: mid-month, mid-mess, tired.

So we do it differently. We put the number in front of you plainly, we tell you what it means, and we tell you the one thing to do next. No lecture about the coffee. No gasp at the balance. No system so elaborate you quit it by February.

You will not find a face on this brand, and that is on purpose. This is not someone’s personal-brand stage. It’s a room you can walk into without being looked at — where the numbers are yours, the door is open, and nobody is keeping score.

Thanks for being here, and for trusting us with something as private as your money. You’re not just a customer. You’re part of something being built on purpose, one woman at a time.

What We Believe

Six things we decided before we built anything — and check every new tool against.

i.

Clarity over complexity

Managing money shouldn’t require a finance degree. We strip the jargon out and put the number where you can see it, in language you’d actually use out loud.

ii.

Beauty is functional

When a tool feels good to open, you open it. That’s not decoration — that’s the whole difference between a plan you keep and a plan you abandon in week three.

iii.

Built for real life

Not idealised budgets. Real income, real debt, real months where the car dies. We design for the woman with a card balance and plans that cost money.

iv.

No shame, no judgment

Wherever you’re starting from is the right place to start. You will never be scolded here, and you will never be asked to explain how it got this way.

v.

Education is a right

Money knowledge shouldn’t sit behind an expensive course or a wall of jargon. The whole education library is free, always, with a named source under every claim.

vi.

Community over competition

Women doing this together get further than women doing it alone. Talking about money isn’t a confession — it’s how the next one of us gets out faster.

No. 5

The Mission

To give every woman the tools and the confidence to take control of her money — without the guilt, the jargon, or the judgment.

The House Rules

What we hold ourselves to, whether or not you ever pay us a cent.

Rule one

Your numbers stay yours

The Ledger is manual entry. We never connect to your bank, so there is nothing for us to read, sell, or lose.

Rule two

Every claim carries a source

If a number appears on this site, its source is printed next to it. No borrowed statistics, no figures we can’t point to.

Rule three

Leaving is as easy as arriving

No dark patterns, no retention maze, no guilt on the way out. A reminder email lands before any renewal charge.

No bank connections. No hidden fees. Cancel in two taps.

Credit & Cashmere makes educational tools, not financial advice. We’ll show you the math and name the trade-off — the decision stays yours.
